Life Drawing: Side: Arms and Hands

In the next chapter from the new "Force' book, the author continues with the side view of the arms and hands:

 

 

 

Here are some of my notes form the chapter:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

EXERCISES AND TIPS:

 

1. The brachialis runs down the centre of the side of the arm, just below the tip of the deltoid. Practice using the muscle to develop the side plane of the arm.

 

2. Remember that the brachioradialis and the extensor carpi radialis longus are tucked in between the brachialis and the triceps.

 

3. Try drawing hands using the “mitten” concept. See the fingers as a group. Fingers and the hand act as one idea to be expressive and to perform functions.
